BMKG Forecasts Rain in All Jakarta Areas Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Today, August 11, rain is expected in Jakarta, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued the weather forecast.

Quoted from the agency’s official website, the entire capital area is predicted to be cloudy in the morning, including in the Thousand Islands or Seribu Islands.

In the afternoon, light rain will likely shower a number of areas, namely West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, while other areas will be cloudy.

At night, cloudy skies are expected in all capital administrative areas.

However, in the early hours of Friday, August 12, the rain will wet again West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands, while other areas will be covered with clouds.

The air temperature is estimated to range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius. In detail, the air temperature in West Jakarta will be 24-32 degrees Celsius, Central Jakarta (25-30 degrees Celsius), South Jakarta (24-33 degrees Celsius), East Jakarta (25-33 degrees Celsius), Jakarta North (25-30 degrees Celsius), and the Thousand Islands (27-28 degrees Celsius).

BMKG also estimated that the lowest estimated humidity rate reaching 55 percent will be in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, while the highest humidity rate of 90 percent will cover all city areas, except Central Jakarta and North Jakarta, with wind speeds averaging 0-10 kilometers per hour.
