TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - Nine people fell off the swimming pool slide at Kenjeran Park (Kenpark) in Surabaya, East Java, Saturday, May 7.
Chief of Surabaya disaster mitigation agency (BPBD), Ridwan Mubrun, confirmed the incident. "Yes, correct. Several people fell from the Kenpark slide," said Ridwan.
According to him, the current situation is that all the victims in the front area of the Kenpark waterpark have received treatment.
There is a total of nine people fell from the slide. Among them, one child suffers a brain injury. "The child has been admitted to the hospital with car by the locals," he said.
The other three children with the indications of close fracture of hands and feet have also been admitted to the hospital by using ambulances, while the other five people suffer light injury and shock.
There has yet to be an explanation of the chronology of the incident
"All of the victims are admitted to Soewandhie Hospital. The next development will later be delivered," Ridwan remarked.
