Indonesia Reports 522 New Covid-19 Cases, 27 Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Indonesia was added to 522 people on Saturday, April 23. Today's new cases totaled the Covid tally in the country to 6,043,768 people.

As of today, 2,082 patients have recovered from the Coronavirus disease, totaling the recoveries of 5,868,251 people.

Meanwhile, 27 people succumbed to the disease today, adding Indonesia's death toll to 156,067.

The country is intensifying Covid-19 vaccination for the people to reach herd immunity, especially the third dose or booster. The booster shot is also required for the people to go on a homecoming (mudik) travel during this year's Ramadan and Eid period.
