Covid-19 Update: Indonesia Adds 602 New Cases, 24 Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Indonesia was added by 602 people on Saturday, April 16. Today's additional cases totaled the Covid tally in the country to 6,039,266 people.

Meanwhile, as of today, the number of people who recovered from the disease increased by 2,768 people. Therefore, the total number of recoveries was 5,822,947 cases.

Indonesia also reported 26 deaths related to the Coronavirus disease as of today, totaling the death toll to 155,844 people.

The country is intensifying Covid-19 vaccination for the people to reach the herd immunity, especially the third dose or booster, as it is required for the people to go on a homecoming (mudik) travel during this year's Ramadan and Eid period.
