TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Health Agency on Sunday, April 3, logged 612 new patients treated for Covid-19 from testing a total of 13,442 specimens, the agency’s disease prevention and control Head Dwi Oktavia reported.

“Out of this number of tests, 12.097 got PCR tested which resulted in 612 positives and 11,485 negatives,” said Oktavia on Sunday, April 3. Positivity rate is 5.4 percent.

Moreover, there were 9,780 people taking antigen tests which resulted in 198 positives and 9,582 negatives but Dwi assured that results from antigen tests are not included in the grand total of cases that are confirmed through PCR tests.

Active cases as of Monday were reduced by 204 with people undergoing treatment or isolation amounting to 5,502 people. She called for people to be extra aware about the omicron variant which she said has seen a rise in Jakarta.

The total number of Covid-19 cases to this day reached 1,239,622 with 1,218,930 recoveries and 15,190 deaths. “The recovery rate is 98.3 percent with a 1.2 percent mortality rate,” said Dwi.Covid-19
