TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial government supports Justin Bieber's music concert at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in November. Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria claims the capital is gradually moving towards an endemic status of COVID-19.
“We have indeed entered the transition period towards an endemic,” said Riza at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 24.
Justin Bieber announced that his Justice World Tour concert is slated to be held at the GBK Madya Stadium, Jakarta, on November 3, 2022. Tickets will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. Jakarta time Tuesday, March 29.
Riza hopes that the music show will be held while maintaining the predetermined health protocols against COVID-19, such as physical distancing and wearing masks. According to him, Jakarta has hosted a number of concerts and performances given the improving COVID-19 trend.
“We support health conditions to be better, but also the economy to be revived,” said the Gerindra Party politician.
Riza further hopes that the central government will ease the enforcement of the public mobility restrictions or PPKM rules from level 2 to level 1 as COVID-19 cases in the capital city have plummeted.
