TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Provincial Government will collect data of children domiciles to realize the Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 6-11 years. Jakarta deputy governor, Ahmad Riza Patria, stated that the Health Department had prepared the strategy for the vaccination rollout.

"The implementation will not be as easy as [the vaccination] for the adult," he said in the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Friday night, December 10.

According to Riza, the vaccination can be held in healthcare units or puskesmas, schools, or other places. Jakarta Administration has yet to set the schedule of vaccination for children aged 6-11 years as they need to initially check the vaccine's availability. "Let's just wait," he said.

The requirements are the vaccination target in the regions must at least reach 70 percent for the first dose of the total target and 60 percent of the first dose for senior citizens.

The policy is stipulated in Home Affairs Ministerial Instruction Number 66 of 2021 on the prevention and mitigation of Covid-19 during Christmas and New Year Holidays. The instruction is valid from December 24, 2021, until January 2, 2022.
