TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has detected the emergence of a tropical cyclone seed dubbed 90S at West Java’s southern ocean which will affect the rain intensity across the Java Island and West Nusa Tenggara.

The agency’s social media post suggested the weather anomaly excludes Jakarta and its vicinity and Yogyakarta.

The cyclone seed was detected on Sunday, November 21, at the specific coordinates of 11.0 degrees south latitude and 105.6 degrees east longitude.

Air speeds are detected to be 20 knots at its peak and will not just affect the rain pattern of the aforementioned affected areas but will also create high waves at sea likely over 2.5 meters, especially in the waters of Enggano Island, Bengkulu, the Sunda Strait, Banten’s southern sea, and East Java.
