Covid-19 Update Per October 23: 802 New Cases, 23 Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Indonesia continues to increase amid the relaxation of restrictions. Based on the government data until Saturday, Oct. 23, at 12:00 Western Indonesia Time, there were 802 new cases within the past 24 hours.

This added the total Coronavirus cases in Indonesia to 4,239,396 since the country announced the first cases on March 2 last year.

Meanwhile, as per today, 1,066 people have recovered from the disease, totaling the Covid survivors to 4,081,417 people. At the same time, the data showed 23 patients succumbed to the illness, amounting the total death toll to 143,176 people.

Besides the positive cases, there were 6,703 Covid-19 suspects, and 250,587 specimens related to Coronavirus were tested today. This information was delivered by Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force. The data is open for public at Covid19.go.id.
