Covid-19 Update: Indonesia Logs 2,881 New Cases, 4,386 Recoveries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian authorities reported the latest update on the country's Covid-19 data on Thursday, September 23. As of noon, the country logged 2,881 new infections over the past 24 hours.

Today's number of new daily cases came from testing 248,125 specimens.

With the addition of today's cases, Indonesia has now logged 4,201,559 infections since the novel coronavirus was first detected in the country, March 2020.

Authorities also reported 4,386 new recoveries, bringing the number of Indonesian Covid survivors up to 4,012,448 people.

Today, Indonesia also reported that 160 patients have died. To date, Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 141,114 Indonesians.

In addition to positive cases, the government is still monitoring 353,860 people suspected of contracting Covid-19.
