TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The COVID-19 Task Force Chief Ganip Warsito said his side would provide a facility for people who do not have gadgets to use the government’s COVID-19 app PeduliLindungi.

Ganip said the app is the backbone of the pandemic handling in Indonesia. “In the future, we will also facilitate those who do not have gadgets or smartphones,” said Ganip on Thursday, September 16.

He acknowledged that not everyone owns a smartphone to use the app, which is a requirement to access public facilities.

However, Ganip ensured that people who have received the first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine have been registered in the app system. Those who did not have access to the app could present a printed vaccination certificate that is completed with a QR code.

“People who have completed the vaccination will get a vaccination card. This can be used to access public facilities,” he explained.

The Pedulilindungi app system is used to identify people who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. The app can also track people who have carried out PCR tests since the PCR labs are connected with the new all record (NAR) system of the Health Ministry so that the data is integrated with the app.
