TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the West Jakarta Health Agency Kristy Wathini announced on Thursday, August 12, 2021, that there are 4,596 healthcare workers, out of a total of 20,013, who have received their Covid-19 vaccine booster shots.

"There are 27,013 healthcare workers in West Jakarta," said Kristy in a vaccination event in Cengkareng on August 12, 2021, as quoted by Antaranews.

Corresponding to the governor and Health Ministry's decree, she explained that the third phase of vaccine distribution has been conducted across every regional hospital, private hospitals, and community health center in West Jakarta.

"From doctors to cleaning services must be vaccinated because they are in the area," Kristy said.

With the accelerated Covid-19 vaccine booster shots program, Kristy hoped that healthcare workers will have a better chance of helping to fight the pandemic.
