TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Covid-19 Task Force issued a new Circular No. 16/2021 on the provision of domestic travel during the pandemic. It is noted that airline passengers are no longer required to bring a worker registration certificate (STRP) or other assignment letters.

This policy takes effect during the PPKM Level 4 from July 26 to August 2, 2021, for those traveling to areas under the level 4, 3, 2, and 1 of the restrictions.

“The flight requirements amid the pandemic are quite dynamic considering the current situations. Airports under AP II (state-owned airport operators) are ready to always implement every applicable regulation,” said AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin in his statement on Tuesday, July 27.

The new policy notes that would-be passengers are required to present a Covid-19 vaccine card of at least the first dose and a certificate showing a negative result of an RT-PCR test which is valid 2x24 hours at maximum before departure.

The compulsory vaccine card is excluded for those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons based on a medical document issued by a specialist doctor, people with serious conditions, pregnant women accompanied with one family member, people traveling for the primary purpose of giving birth with a maximum two companions, and people delivering non-Covid-19 body with a maximum of five people.

Additionally, people under the age of 12 are temporarily prohibited from boarding the plane. “We urge prospective airplane passengers to prepare the requirements well,” said Awaluddin.
