Jokowi: Not All Covid-19 Patients Must be Hospitalized

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said not everyone infected with Covid-19 have to go be treated in hospitals. "Does everyone who test positive for Covid-19 need to be hospitalized? Not all of them," Jokowi said on a post to his Instagram account @jokowi, Thursday, July 8.
Jokowi's post said that there are two types of Covid cases that do not require treatments in hospitals: asymptomatic cases and patients with mild symptoms.
Asymptomatic patients are those infected with the new coronavirus but can breathe with a frequency of 12-20 times per minute, and have an oxygen saturation level above 94 percent. They can self-isolate at home for 10 days from confirmation of diagnosis, and are advised to take vitamins C, D, and Zinc supplements.
Covid-infected people with mild symptoms are those who experience fever, mild dry cough, fatigue, anorexia, headache, anosmia, ageusia, malgia and bone pain, sore throat, runny nose and sneezing, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, redness skin/toes discoloration, a respiratory rate 12-20 breaths per minute, with oxygen saturation above 94 percent.
These infected people are to receive Oseltamivir or favipiravir, Azithromycin, Vitamin C, D, Zinc. They can also self-isolate at home or in government facilities for 10 days from the onset of symptoms and at least 3 days of being symptom-free.
The Indonesian government has prepared the Nagrak modest rental flats (Rusunawa) in Cilincing and Pasar Rumput Rusunawa in Setiabudi as isolation facilities to accommodate asymptomatic patients and those with mild symptoms.
