New Covid-19 Records for Indonesia; 31,189 New Cases, 728 Deaths

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia sees yet another new record for the number of new Covid-19 cases reported in one day. On Tuesday, July 6, the country added 31,189 new infections from 134,306 specimens tested.

The world's fourth-largest population now has a caseload total of 2,345,018.

The number of deaths related to the new coronavirus for today was also the highest, with 728 people succumbing. To date, Indonesia has recorded 61,868 deaths over Covid-19.

Indonesia currently has 324,597 active and 86,969 cases.

Authorities' data also showed 115,863 new recoveries, bringing the total number of people who survived the disease to 1,958,553.
