Indonesia Covid-19 Cases Nearly 13,000

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia logged 12,906 Covid-19 cases as per Saturday, June 19, at 12:00 western Indonesia time. The number of Coronavirus infection almost reached 13,000 cases for three days in a row. Jakarta, West Java, and Central Java recorded the highest case.

As per today, June 19, Jakarta logged 4,895 cases, West Java 2,104 cases, and Central Java 1,877 infections. Next are East Java with 693 cases, Yogyakarta with 638 cases, Riau Islands 341 cases, Riau 284 cases, and Banten with 278 cases.

These new cases added the total cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia to 1,976,172 since the first case was announced on March 2, last year.

As per today, the patients recovered from the disease were 7,016 people, adding to the total recoveries to 1,786,143 people. Meanwhile, there were 248 deaths related to Covid-19, totaling the number to 54,291 deceased patients.

Besides the positive cases, the Indonesian government also monitored 118,023 people suspected to be infected with Coronavirus. And 122,410 specimens related to the virus were being tested today.
