TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani is allocating Rp150 trillion for the next year's budget for handling Covid-19. The amount is lower than this year's Rp170 trillion.

Via her Instagram account, Sri said on Wednesday, June 16, that Rp58.1 trillion of the 2022 Covid-19 budget is allocated for vaccines.

Sri Mulyani added that the budget is also allocated for treatment Rp32.33 trillion, testing and tracking Rp6.68 trillion, incentives and compensation for health workers Rp16.83 trillion, as well as tax incentives—the exemption of VAT for the import healthy sector goods amounting to Rp20.85 trillion.

There are also allocations for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency task force of Rp860 billion and Rp1.17 trillion for research and communication.

The 2022 Covid-19 relief budget is sourced from tax revenues, customs duties, non-tax state revenues, and loans.
