TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday personally witnessed the Covid-19 vaccination on 1,000 people at Semarang’s Tanjung Emas Port in Central Java. The President said he is eyeing to administer 4,000 inoculations in one week.
“This noon we will inoculate around 1,000 people from our goal of 4,000 vaccinations in one week,” said the President on June 11. “We hope the accelerated vaccination can help protect the public services workers within the Port of Tanjung Emas.”
He believes vaccinating the people in a highly-active port is vital for the continuity of the local economy.
During his visit here, Jokowi was accompanied by Central Governor Ganjar Pranwo and State Secretary Pratikno.
