TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Health Ministry claimed it had paid off the incentive arrears of health workers at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) for the year 2020. The amount of money wired amounted to Rp11.8 billion for 1,613 volunteers from May 6-10, 2021.

“These are the incentive payments for December 2020, which could not be given in the same year and will be paid in 2021, said the Chief of the Health Ministry’s Human Resources Development Center, Kirana Pritasari, in a written statement on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

Kirana added the ministry had made the incentive payments for this year’s January to March via wire transfer, while the payments of the April incentives were still in process.

“Our RSDC colleagues were also punctual in filing their payment proposals for January, February and March. The payments are made directly to the the health workers,” she said.

Kirana said besides the RSDC arrears the ministry was also expediting the payments of incentive arrears for all health workers stationed at healthcare facilities operating under the ministry.

“We have the responsibility to convey the data to be reviewed by the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) at the amount of Rp382 billion. The BPKP has reviewed half of the data, so we hope that within one to two days after the holidays the approval will come out so we can process the payments,” she said.
