TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- The Jakarta Labor, Transmigration, and Energy Agency has filed a request to the Health Ministry asking to expedite the Covid-19 vaccination program for workforces following a rise in coronavirus infections from office clusters.
Head of the agency Andri Yansah said on April 28 “We have sent a request for an immediate opening of vaccinations for workforces.”
The program he mentions is the third vaccination program after the vaccinations preceding it for healthcare workers and public servants. The third program is scheduled to kickstart in April this year and expected to be completed by March 2022.
He believes that vaccinations are one of the effective steps to break the chain of Covid-19, especially among office and factory workers.
Despite filing this request, Andri Yansah reminded entrepreneur associations to maintain the monitoring by internal Covid-19 task forces stationed in each and every office in the city. He also called for workers to always abide by existing health protocols to suppress the number of Covid-19 cases from office clusters.
