Rapid Antigen Test Employees Nabbed over Falsifying Covid-19 Results

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Covid-19 rapid antigen test services provided at the Kualanamu International Airport located in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, was raided by the police on Tuesday following suspicions of rapid test report falsifications.

The police temporarily apprehended five officials of the rapid test service who are also employees of an established pharmaceutical firm in Indonesia.

This arrest was confirmed by the Kualanamu Airport spokesperson, Ovi, to Antara News on April 27 in a text message, “The event did in fact take place and is currently being investigated. The official announcement will come tomorrow.”

Based on the information gathered, the five people who were arrested identified with their initials are RN, AD, AT, EK, and EI. Police suspect they had violated their own rapid antigen test procedure by utilizing a used sterile swab equipment.
