TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta government decides to extend the enactment period of micro scale restrictions on community activities or micro PPKM until May 3, 2021. The extension is regulated in Governor Decree No.48/2021 and Governor Instruction No.22 of 2021.

Jakarta Health Service chief Widyastuti said that the spread of Covid-19 in the capital has been relatively under control. Even so, Widyastuti explained that in the last two weeks there had been a fluctuating increase in Covid-19 cases.

"I remind Jakarta residents to obey health protocols, including avoiding crowds and avoiding mobilization—very important," Widyastuti said in a written statement on Tuesday, April 20.

On April 5, 2021, she said, there were 6,075 Covid-19 active cases that increased to 6,924.

Nevertheless, the situation is relatively under control, she said, based on data on isolation bed and ICU availability. The number of isolation beds that are occupied as of April 18 was 2,691 or 38 percent of the capacity. Meanwhile, the number of ICU beds used is 500 or 47 percent.
