TEMPO.CO, Gerung West Lombok - West Lombok Tourism Agency, West Nusa Tenggara or NTB, launched 'Ayo ke Lombok' (Let's Go to Lombok) mobile application to ease tourists to find tourism information in the region. The launching event coincided with the 63rd anniversary of the regency which is celebrated every April 17.

The agency head Saepul Akhkam said this digital platform serves as an online tourism information center. “Let us succeed by providing information content, both on business and entertainment services,” said Saepul to Tempo on Monday, April 19, 2021.

The mobile app has five information directories, namely lodging, tourist destinations, culinary delights, various creative economy products, and transportation. In the lodging feature, tourists can find out about hotel services, homestays, bungalows, or other types of stay. The tourist destination category contains various tourist objects and tourist villages in the regency.

The culinary directory contains a list of restaurants up to food stalls. Tourists can find out Lombok specialties and where to enjoy these dishes. In the creative economy product category, travelers can choose handicraft products as souvenirs, while the transportation category will guide tourists.

West Lombok Regent Fauzan Khalid argued that digital innovation is inseparable in today’s world of tourism. “At present, if all innovations are not supported by digitalization, it will be difficult to yield maximum results,” he said. He hoped that the 'Ayo ke Lombok' app could make it easier for travelers having their trip to West Lombok Regency
