TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi through Instagram has officially called on private companies to disburse THR or Eid allowances this year.
He said the positive momentum of Indonesia’s pandemic handling must go in line with the national economic recovery efforts, which was why he urged the private sector to commit to this duty.
“The government urges the private sector to disburse Eid allowances to their employees, considering the government has granted facilities and incentives to numerous sectors,” said President Jokowi on his official Instagram account on Thursday, April 8.
Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah previously said the payment scheme of the "religious allowances in 2021" was being deliberated with the National Wage Council (Depenas) and the National Tripartite (Tripnas). The results of this meeting, she said in a press release on April 5, would be announced in the National Tripartite plenary meeting.
