Indonesia COVID-19 Update: 4,982 New Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the nation continues to climb, as the government’s data showed there were 4,982 additional cases in the last 24 hours as of Friday at noon.

With the additional figures, Indonesia’s COVID-19 total tally has reached 1,487,541 cases since the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

The number of recoveries, meanwhile, also rose by 5,679 to 1,322,878 in total, while the death rate was up by 85 to 40,186.

The government said it was presently keeping an eye on 52,528 suspects. This information was conveyed by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force and is accessible at Covid19.go.id.
