TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II announced that the runway of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport is temporarily closed for commercial flights, as set in the notice to airmen or NOTAM number A0693/21.
"Trigana Air's Boeing 737-500 cargo, with registration number PK-YSF, skidded off the runway, making it blocked by the aircraft," said Angkasa Pura II VP of Corporate Communication, Yado Yarismano, in a written statement on Saturday, March 20.
Two pilots, one technician and one FOO (flight operations officer), were on board the cargo plane. There is no casualty in the incident.
Yado said his side would coordinate with the stakeholders in handling the skidded aircraft.
"Starting at 12:30 WIB (Western Indonesia time), the flights from and to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will be temporarily diverted to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said.
Seven flights are currently being diverted. They are five Batik Air flights and two Citilink flights.
