Jakarta Covid-19 Recovery Rate Stands at 96 Percent

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The capital city’s administration has recorded 2,008 covid recoveries bringing the total Covid-19 recoveries up to 347,210 cases as of Sunday, March 14. Based on the official website corona.jakarta.go.id this means the recovery rate is 96.5 percent compared to the total number of recorded cases of 359,980.

This also means that the number of active cases who are either being treated in specific Covid-19 hospitals or undergoing isolation have dropped from 7,583 cases to 6,744.

Covid-19 cases in Jakarta as of Sunday, March 14, saw 1,204 new cases from PCR swab testing 11,571 specimens. However, this is an increase in cases compared to the previous days that recorded as low as 867 cases on March 9.

Sunday’s test results are far lower compared to the previous month of Sunday, February 7, that recorded 4,213 cases which was the highest new additional Covid-19 cases throughout the pandemic.

Out of the total 359,980 cases in Jakarta, 6,026 people have passed away which makes the mortality rate to 1.7 percent and a positivity rate of 12.2 percent for the past week that still exceeds the World Health Organization standard.
