TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria on Monday claimed that many companies have registered for the government’s private vaccination program and that the Jakarta Administration has prepared the technical preparations and distribution of the vaccines that will be used.
“We had a meeting with the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and other businessmen. They are preparing for the ‘gotong royong’ vaccine,” said the Jakarta Deputy on Monday, March 1.
Previously, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin issued the regulation on legalizing the private vaccination that is mentioned in the Health Ministry’s Regulation No.10/2021 on vaccinations to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic.
This regulation oversees the private vaccination touted as the ‘gotong royong’ vaccine subjecting employees, laborers, and general workers of companies that register for the program. The law states that the funding will be exclusively funded by the companies.
