Jokowi Present at the Covid-19 Vaccination in Tanah Abang Market

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday monitored the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination that was done at the Tanah Abang Market in Central Jakarta as the program now focuses on vaccinating market traders, which the government deem face high-risk of contracting the virus.
The President was accompanied by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as the three men were observed roaming the location where the vaccination was held.
Jokowi also gave his comments about this vaccination program “I, in person, have seen all of the procedures being conducted properly at the Tanah Abang Market,” he said on February 17. The second vaccination will subject 21 million elderly people and nearly 17 million workers in public services.
This event was streamed live from the Health Ministry’s Youtube account. According to the President, this second phase of Covid-19 vaccination aims to vaccinate 16.9 million public servants and workers from market traders, journalists, athletes, mall and general store employees.
