TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said two provinces reported a decrease in cases of coronavirus among health workers after the Covid-19 vaccination.

“We have seen that two provinces start to record a decline in positive cases among healthcare workers,” Budi said in an online press conference on Sunday, February 7.

According to him, one of the provinces was Central Java, the province that was most aggressive in inoculating medical professionals. “Thank you, Central Java,” he offered gratitude.

Apart from Central Java, he said there was another province that reported a decrease in cases after vaccination but he stopped short of mentioning the province’s name.

The Health Ministry, Budi went on, would double-check the report on the drop in cases following the Covid-19 vaccination. He would also look at reports from other provinces. “We want to check and recheck to make sure whether the data is consistent in all provinces,” Budi Gunadi said.
