TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The national Covid-19 vaccination spokesperson from the Indonesian Health Ministry, Siti Nadia Tarmidzi, said on Tuesday that the fourth delivery of Sinovac vaccines consists of 10 million doses and one million overfill doses.

“10 million doses we received today will be used for the second phase vaccination for public service workers,” said Tarmidzi on February 2.

The 11 million dose addition means that there are 28 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines available in Indonesia. As of now, the government is completing the vaccination on 1.5 million healthcare workers.

She explained that since January, there have been over 500,000 healthcare workers who have been injected with the Sinovac vaccine and is optimistic that the government’s initial goal will be achieved by the end of February.

Out of the entire 181.5 million population, the next demographic will be the 17.4 million public service workers who work in areas that are exposed to the virus that initially spread from Wuhan, China.
