President Jokowi to Get Second Shot of Covid-19 Vaccine Tomorrow

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi will receive the second inoculation of Covid-19 Vaccine on Wednesday, January 27, which is 14 days after the first shot on January 13.

All figures who received the first vaccine shot on the same day as the president will also get the second injection tomorrow.

The palace has yet informed the technical of the second vaccination. However, the secretary-general of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Amirsyah Tambunan affirmed that they will be injected together with the president.

"Inshaallah tomorrow," he said through a text message on Tuesday, Jan. 26, adding that the location will be announced tonight.

The names who received the first Covid-19 vaccination with the president on January 13 were Indonesian Medical (IDI) chairman Daeng M Faqih, MUI secretary-general Amirsyah Tambunan, PBNU Rais Syuriah Ahmad Ishomuddin, and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Police Chief Idham Aziz, and a celebrity Raffi Ahmad.

Other parties who also get the first shot in the following sessions on the same day with Jokowi include representatives of state officials, health workers, religious figures, labors and traders, as well as the Covid-19 mitigation task force.
