JCI Strengthens Amid Inaugural Vaccination

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) on Wednesday, January 13, closed strong at trade's first session amidst the inaugural Covid-19 vaccination in Indonesia, which saw President Jokowi as one of the first recipients.
JCI went up by 32 points (0.51 percent) to the level of 6,428. The index was as high as 1.02 percent as the trade opened and moved between 6,393.89 up to 6,460.65 throughout the first session, citing Bloomberg.
Some 216 stocks went up while 248 weakened and 149 remained stagnant. The performance of the first session continues the positive trend from yesterday’s trade that was closed 0.2 percent up to the levels of 6,395.66.
The highest gainers were PT Acset Indonusa Tbk (ACST) and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), respectively growing 19.75 percent (570) and 9.39 percent (3,030).
State-owned bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (IDX: BBRI) saw the most foreign bulk purchase in today’s trade going up by 1.48 percent (4,790) with a net buy of Rp313.4 billion.
