TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) operational director, Prasetia Budi, announced that Transjakarta fleets will only operate from 05:00 AM to 08:00 PM Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Thursday, December 31, 2020, ahead of the New Year’s Eve.
"There will be no other changes with Transjakarta services during New Year's Eve," wrote Prasetia Budi on December 30, 2020.
Budi added that there will be no bus route reductions for BRT rapid transit buses, non-BRT, and mikrotrans. However, Transjakarta management continues to encourage people to abide by health protocols during trips and at bus stops.
The reduced operational hours come in line with Jakarta Governor's Instruction No. 64/2020 on controlling public activities and Covid-19 prevention during the Christmas and New Year Eve holidays.
