TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned pharmaceutical firm Bio Farma spokesman Bambang Heriyanto appealed to health service providers to wait for the official announcement regarding the technical guide for the pre-order of self-purchased Covid-19 vaccination.

The statement was in response to the high public initiatives and demands on information related to immunization programs. “For further information, please contact Bio Farma’s official email at mail@biofarma.co.id,” Bambang said on Sunday, Dec. 13.

He also responded to rampant advertisements or promotions regarding the vaccination pre-order circulating on social media by several health facilities in Bandung.

Bio Farma, he asserted, was still developing a system for the immunization program, particularly the self-purchased one. “And until now, there has been no provision or technical arrangement issued by the government on the matter.”

According to Bambang, the government was still waiting for the permit use from the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM).

Bio Farma had not yet carried out a pre-order service system for self-purchased immunization in any form, he informed, including for the needs of health facilities or individuals.

As for the paid Covid-19 vaccination service in hospitals and other health facilities, Bambang clarified that official associations were still conducting the registration and verification.
