TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched four locations related to the alleged bribery cases concerning the procurement of social aid packages as part of the Covid-19 mitigation.

The four locations were the private house and official house belonging to Social Affairs Minister Juliari Batubara. “And two offices of companies that are suspected to have collaborated with the Social Affairs Ministry in distributing social aid,” said the commission acting spokesman Ali Fikri on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020.

According to him, the anti-graft body seized various documents related to the case. Ali said the investigators would analyze some of the files.

Juliari Batubara was suspected of receiving Rp17 billion from the corruption of the Covid-19 social assistance. The money allegedly came from vendors providing goods and services in social assistance at the Social Affairs Ministry for handling Covid-19.
