TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) asked the government to provide an exact time of the Covid-19 vaccination. Kadin head Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said that a certainty of time would make it easier for businesses to make plans.

"We want to have an idea of when vaccination. We need to know because a delayed vaccination would lead to costs of delay. So, whether it would be in the first semester or in the second semester, we need to picture it," said Rosan in a web semiinar, Tuesday, November 24.

If intensive vaccination can happen in the first semester of 2021, Rosan said, then in the second semester businesses could run faster. However, if the vaccination is intensified in the second semester, Kadin suggested the government increase the National Economic Recovery stimulus fund in 2021.

"Because as far as I know, the Rp356.4 trillion budget is only for six months, so we also need to know about this scenario," said Rosan.

If vaccine distribution is carried out intensively in the first half of next year, Rosan estimates economic pressure in the second semester of 2021 will begin to subside; allowing the wheels of the economy to run.

Rosan received information from the government that vaccinations would start in the third or fourth week of January 2021. However, he needed to confirm when a mass vaccination would start.
