Wisma Atlet Hospital Treating Over 2,000 COVID-19 Inpatients

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 2,094 patients with Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were hospitalized in Towers 6 and 7 of the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital (RSD) Kemayoran, here, on Sunday.

The number of COVID-19 inpatients with mild to moderate symptoms being treated in the emergency hospital for COVID-19 increased by five people, Colonel Aris Mudian, spokesman of hospital said here on Sunday.

They comprised 1,017 men and 1,077 women, he added.

In addition to, there were also 1,239 asymptomatic patients, comprising 674 men and 565 women,
undergoing isolation at the Tower 4 and 5 of Wisma Atlet hospital, he added.

The number of asymptomatic patients increased by 96 people, from 1,143 patients on the previous day.

The Wisma Atlet was an athlete village that has been transformed into an emergency hospital for COVID-19 since March 23, 2020.

The hospital's Tower 6 has a capacity of 1,300 beds, Tower 7 has a capacity of 1,578 beds, Tower 4 and 5 have a total capacity of 3,116 beds.

Wisma Atlet has recorded a total of 26,521 inpatients since March 23. Of the total, 23,960 patients have recovered.

The hospital also accommodated a total of 14,468 asymptomatic patients undergoing independent isolation and 14,408 of them have recovered.

Wisma Atlet recorded that only 8 patients succumbing to the coronavirus disease so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 459 patients had been referred to other hospitals in Jakarta.
