TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Secretary of the Coordinating Economic Ministry Susiwijono Meogiarso announced Friday the government was currently completing 30 Job Creation Law (UU Cipta Kerja) derivative regulations.
In total, the government plans to complete 44 derivative regulations, with 40 of them consisting of government regulations and four presidential orders. Moegiarso expected the remaining 14 would be completed next week.
“Out of the entire 44, today we have completed 30 derivatives in harmony with other state ministries and institutions” said Susiwijono in Friday’s "Ngobrol Tempo" virtual talk show.
He also elaborated there were regulations that required public participation and those that did not. There are 19 state ministries responsible for the formulation of the derivative regulations.
The House of Representatives (DPR) and the government approved the widely-rejected Omnibus Law on Job Creation on October 5, 2020. It was then ratified by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo before being passed into Law No.11/2020 on November 2.
