Govt to Intensify COVID-19 Prevention Health Campaigns

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investments advisor, Monica Nirmala, on Thursday said the 3T campaign - tracing, testing, and treatment - needs to be intensified to break the chain of COVID-19 infection.
“There needs to be massive and continuous communication from one trusted source bringing one clear message,” said Monica in the 3T virtual discussion on November 12.
She believes constant campaigns on the 3T are essential to improve people’s knowledge, understanding, and awareness about the pandemic so they can actively participate in the program’s success.
Monica said the campaign must adjust to the various segments of society and that the message must be delivered accordingly to people’s education levels.
The campaign to implement health protocol, such as using face masks, physical distancing, and washing hands regularly, must also be intensified so that it will reach the grassroots level to break the chain of COVID-19 infections.
