Indonesia Sees 1,693 New Covid-19 Cases on Tuesday

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta -Indonesia got 1,693 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, August 11. Four provinces recorded high numbers of new daily cases of more than 100.
Jakarta saw 462 new cases — the most for yesterday, followed by Jawa Timur with 291, North Sumatra with 207 cases, and East Kalimantan with 128 new cases.
West Java also had plenty of new cases, albeit less than 100, with 95 confirmed.
Meanwhile, Jakarta recorded 184 new recoveries and 12 deaths.
East Java recorded the most recoveries with 363, but also saw the most daily deaths with 21.
