Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Hospital Records Over 7,000 Recoveries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Wisma Atlet COVID-19 emergency hospital in Central Jakarta recorded 7,188 recoveries out of 9,627 patients admitted for coronavirus infection as per Friday, August 7.

Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, spokesman of the emergency hospital for the COVID-19 treatment, said that there are currently 1,329 patients treated in-hospital at the Wisma Atlet facility.

"Consisting of 736 males and 593 females," Aris said in a written statement today, August 7.

Confirmed positive patients amount to 1,324 people while the remaining 5 patients are still considered suspects. Friday saw 7 fewer people being treated at the emergency facility. However, suspected patients have increased compared to Thursday.

In total, Jakarta has recorded 23,863 positive COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, August 6.
