House Receives Nomination of New Police Chief

Jakarta : The House of Representatives announced on Wednesday that the government has recommended Bambang Hendarso Danuri as the new Chief of Indonesia Police Force. Parliament speaker Agung Laksono said the letter from the government was just being received but the formal announcement of the letter for the house will be made next Tuesday.
The parliament will conduct a fit and proper test on Bambang, currently the Head of Detective and Crime Unit at the National Police, if the parliament accept the nomination.
General Sutanto the current Chief of Indonesia Police hold the post since 2005, his term will end on September 30th .
