President Jokowi Conduct Eid Prayer in Bogor Palace

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and first lady Iriana, conducted Eid prayer on the lawn of Wisma Bayurini in the Bogor Presidential Palace complex on Sunday morning, May 24, 2020.

As reported by the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, President Jokowi and first lady Iriana conducted Eid prayers with their youngest son Kaesang Pangarep. The prayer was led by the Head of Mosque Council of the Baitussalam Mosque of the Bogor Presidential Palace Muhammadun at 06:32 AM Western Indonesia Time.

During his sermon, Muhammadun delivered a message of how Eid Al-Fitr should be a moment of forgive mistakes, and a moment to personal improvement.

"If before Ramada we were enemies, mocking each other, did many mistakes. Then after Eid Al-Fitr, let us commit ourselves to improve, be at peace, forgive each other, unite and strengthen family bonds," Muhammadun said.

During this year's Eid Al-Fitr prayer, a number of official were seen alongside the President, among others, Commander of Group A of the Presidential Security Unit Col. Inf. Achiruddin; Chief of the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat Erlin Suastini; President Assistant 1st Lt. Mat Sony Masturi; and the President's Personal Guard 1st Inf. Lt. Windra Sanur.
