Police to Investigate Palu Shooting

TEMPO Interactive !-- @page { size: 21cm 29.7cm; margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } -->, Palu: Central Sulawesi Police said it was investigating the shooting that killed a civilian on Sunday (7/9) in Palu.
Brigadier General Suparni Parto said "every personnel that took an action that poses risk will be investigated.”
Syamsuddin, 29 a Palu resident was killed on Sunday when he fought back officers trying to arrest him. Suparni said that based on reports he received the victim was in the list of people searched by the police for several cases.
Advocation Development for Human Rights urged the police to punish the officer that killed Syamsuddin, saying the shooting was inhumane and a violation to human rights.
