TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's COVID-19 Mitigation spokesman Achmad Yurianto stated the government had set the budget of over Rp400 trillion to fight the pandemic.

"The government will fully guarantee the health of the people if they are contracted with Covid-19. The budget is set at more than Rp400 trillion," Yuri said in the press release Saturday, April 18, at Graha BNPB, Jakarta.

He said the amount will be used to prevent virus transmission, for the public health, as well as the social safety net in the form of logistic assistance and economic stimulus for the affected people.

Therefore, the work from home or stay home protocols will run effectively as the logistic needs are fulfilled.

Yurianto also asked the people to adhere to the government’s appeals regarding the suppression in the number of coronavirus transmission. These appeals include the physical distancing, washing hands with soap, and wearing a mask when leaving the house.
