TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Central Asia or BCA is making adjustments to its branch office services. The bank will suspend its weekend banking services until May 10 with regards to the government's large-scale social-distancing policy (PSBB) in a bid to contain Covid-19 transmission.

“The management has made adjustments to branch operations, which applies from April 20 to 30. We are also temporarily suspending out Weekend Banking service until May 10th," BCA executive vice president secretariat & corporate communication Hera F Haryn said in a written statement, Friday, April 17.

Hera said that the policy will be evaluated and readjusted continuously to keep up with the government's instructions. Customers, she said, can check for updates on the bank's official website.

BCA has also implemented the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) protocols in anticipating Covid-19 in all of its offices, including measuring workers' body temperature, practicing social distancing, activating split operations, as well as implementing a work from home policy for employees who can do their jobs remotely.

The bank also urges customers to make use of mobile and digital banking services and refrain from going to branch offices unless it is completely necessary.
