TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi has been reportedly discharged from the hospital after one month undergoing medical treatment for the new coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

Bapak Budi has returned home a few days ago after being hospitalized in RSPAD (Gatot Subroto Army Hospital),” the Transportation Ministry spokesperson Adita Irawati said in her statement on Wednesday, April 15.

However, Budi was obliged to carry out individual isolation in accordance with the protocol of the COVID-19 mitigation. “He is healthy and is recovering now, and in self-isolation for fourteen days as the doctor suggests.”

The recovery of the minister was welcomed by his colleagues in the cabinet. “Congratulations, Pak Minister. Glad to hear you have returned home. [You may] immediately join limited meetings via video conference, Pak,” said Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly in a Whatsapp group consisting of cabinet ministers and palace reporters on Wednesday, April 15.
