TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The South Tangerang City Government has converted the Integrated Agricultural Area (KPT) in Ciater, Serpong, into a quarantine location for People under Monitoring (ODP) and Patients under Surveillance (PDP). The quarantine location is temporarily called COVID-19 Monitoring Center (Rumah Lawan COVID-19).

With construction having taken place since last week, Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany, stated that the COVID-19 Management Center will be in operation starting this week.

“ODP residents without any symptoms and PDP residents with mild symptoms can be treated in the COVID-19 Management Center. If their conditions improve, they will be discharged. However, if conditions become worse, they will be sent to referral hospitals,” she said.

Airin explained that the COVID-19 Monitoring Center will directly be managed by the Health Service. All medical assistance, including personnel from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), will be enlisted. "This is the commitment of the South Tangerang City Government in dealing with COVID-19 patients," she continued.

Coordinator of the South Tangerang COVID-19 Monitoring Center, Suhara, explained that the quarantine location has a capacity of 120 beds, staffed with medical personnel consisting of doctors, nurses, janitors, and personnel specifically tasked with food provision for patients.

According to Suhara, six personnel will be on duty from each working division. "We divide (the personnel) into three shifts. Each shift has six personnel consisting of doctors, nurses, food provision personnel, cleaning staff," Suhara continued.

In addition, the COVID-19 Monitoring Center will also be secured by police officers, the National Military (TNI), and officers of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP).

"We want to make the atmosphere as comfortable as possible. Every room is equipped with a cupboard, a table, chairs, wifi, and a television specifically for ODP patients," Suhara added.
