TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian has officially received aid from the Singaporean government in the form of coronavirus test kits and medical protective equipment.
The assistance was directly handed over by the Ambassador of Singapore to Indonesia, Anil Kumar Nayar.
“On Friday, April 3, 2020, Indonesia received assistance from the Singaporean government,” said Tito Karnavian in a written statement.
The aid comprises 10,000 coronavirus test kits in the form of ventilators, thermal scanners, face masks, and protective equipment for health workers.
According to Tito, the aid is also distributed to the local governments of coronavirus-stricken areas in Indonesia, namely Batam City and Riau Islands, which are geographically adjacent to Singapore.
